BASF - Innofil3D professional series

BASF – Innofil3D has an extensive selection of filaments for professional applications. We at 3DPrinters-Store are certified for our participation in extensive material training at BASF Innofil3D. In this multi-day training, we dived into the polymers down to the molecular level. In addition, this training also largely consisted of selecting the appropriate filaments for specific applications.

Below you will find a short summary and the data sheets of the Innofil3D Professional series and the BASF Ultrafuse filaments.

BASF Ultrafuse filament.

Ultrafuse PA

Ultrafuse® PA is specifically designed for FFF 3D printing and based on BASF's polyamide portfolio, known as Ultramid®. Thanks to its unique mechanical properties and chemical structure, this filament is suitable for a wide selection of applications operating in a wider temperature range.

PRO1

PRO1 is a tough PLA that offers a number of advantages.

  • Speed: Reduce your 3D printing time by 30%-80%. (Depends on the printer and object.)
  • Strength: Great mechanical properties that are often better than those of ABS.
  • Versatility: One filament that can be tuned for blazing fast print speed and excellent surface finish
  • Consistent: Truly consistent filament, in print quality but also between colors and batches, it always performs as you expect.

PAHT CF-15

Polyamide is a thermoplastic material used in a variety of applications in various industries. PAHT CF15 has a special formulation, which provides more dimensional stability and allows to operate under continuous temperatures of 150°C with a peak temperature of 180°C, which is impossible with standard PA. The 15% carbon fiber reinforcement allows stiffer products to be printed, opening new doors for demanding printing applications.

Key features:

  • Higher chemical resistance than most PA grades.
  • High temperature resistant up to 150°C
  • Strong and rigid parts.
  • High dimensional stability.
  • Easy to process.
  • Low moisture absorption.

PAHT CF15 combines high temperature and chemical resistance with extreme mechanical properties. Due to the high dimensional stability, there will be hardly any shrinkage during printing. This makes for a simple printing experience.

PP GF30

Polypropylene is one of the most preferred thermoplastics in various industries, especially in the automotive sector. However, achieving a high level of reinforcement has always been a problem when making filaments.

PP GF30 contains special glass fibers designed for filament making and 3D printing. This ensures that the printed objects work functionally, under certain temperature and mechanical loads.

Its UV resistance makes it more suitable than any other PP-based filament for applications that are directly exposed to sunlight.

The main properties of PP GF30 are:

  • Excellent chemical resistance.
  • Low density.
  • Low moisture absorption.
  • High heat resistance.
  • Improved UV resistance.

PP inherently absorbs less moisture than PA. Coupled with the high level of glass fiber reinforcement, PP GF30 is a filament of selection for exceptional working environments.

PP GF30 combines great features that could not be combined before: printing stiffer parts with UV resistance is now possible.

PP

Polypropylene or PP is widely known as a solution for automotive, (household) appliance and liquid container applications.

The properties of Innofil3D PP filament are:

  • Low density.
  • Chemical resistance.
  • Resistant to fatigue.
  • Elasticity and Toughness Insulation.

ASA

ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is part of the ABS family and is ideal for outdoor use due to its properties: UV resistance and good mechanical properties.

HIPS

HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) is known as a support material for ABS in the 3D printing community. It dissolves in D'limonene. Because it has the same printing temperature as ABS, it is an ideal material to use as a support material.
