MakerBot Dissolvable Filament (1.75 mm/ 1 kg)

MakerBot Dissolvable Filament is designed for use as a solid infill material with MakerBot ABS Filament. HIPS easily dissolves in a limonene bath in just 8-24 hours, the time it takes is dependent on the size and complexity of the print.

Makerbot Dissolvable filament is made from high quality HIPS, extruded with high diameter consistency to give you consistent and reliable 3D printing. High quality filament reduces the rate of 3d printing failure and saves you both money and time. Each Makerbot filament colour is comprehensively quality tested at 100-micron and 200- micron layer resolutions on MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers to verify it will perform every feature that MakerBot® MakerWareTM software offers.

MakerBot Dissolvable Filament requires a heated build platform. MakerBot HIPS Filament adheres well to kapton tape on heated build plate. HIPS is more prone to warping than PLA so a Heated bed and/or heated print chamber are required. Good first layer adhesion is essential so ensure that you have a level, grease free, build platform and an appropriate z-height.
