Description

Magigoo Metal is specially designed for the bonding of the first layer of BASF Ultrafuse 316L filaments. Magigoo Metal is non-hazardous, non-flammable & approved for use in post-processing BASF Ultrafuse 316L. Magigoo Metal allows for easy removal of parts or green parts from the build plate.

Why Magigoo Metal?

BASF Ultrafuse 316L enables the production of solid stainless steel parts of 316L quality through the use of desktop FDM 3D printers and a sintering process. Ultrafuse® 316L filament consists of highly refined metal particles embedded in thermoplastic binders. Thus, as a filament, the metal-polymer composite does not contain any of the occupational and safety hazards associated with the handling of fine metal powders. This enables affordable, simple and safe 3D printing of stainless steel parts.

Due to the thermoplastic nature of the filament bonding materials and the differential thermal cooling during FDM printing, the printed areas that BASF Ultrafuse® 316L prints are prone to warping. In addition, due to the delicate nature of the green area, care must be taken when removing parts printed in BASF Ultrafuse® 316L to avoid deformation of the part. Magigoo Metal ensures secure and reliable adhesion during printing and allows easy removal of the printed part by immersion in water, so avoid possible damage to the green part.

Use:

A build plate temperature of 95-105 ° C is recommended for using Magigoo Metal with BASF Ultrafuse® 316L, but printing conditions may vary from printer to printer.

1. Shake the bottle

2. Apply to the desired area by pressing the tip onto the bed (activating the inner valve) and spreading as needed.

3. Print according to recommended settings After printing.

4. Immerse the entire bed in water or soak the parts in water.

5. After a short period of time - usually 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the part, the part should come off on its own or be easy to remove with a gentle twist. To clean, use a damp cloth to remove the residue

Pay attention:

Using this product with other than BASF Ultrafuse 316L filaments can cause over-adhesion and damage your build surface. Follow the instructions in the technical data sheet for best results.
