Sinterit Lisa de betaalbare SLS 3D printer.

Sinterit Lisa the affordable SLS 3D printer.

For a long time, an SLS printer was only available to large companies with even bigger budgets. Fortunately, that is a thing of the past thanks to the Sinterit company. The Sinterit Lisa is a high-quality and affordable SLS 3D printer. I'll give you some more information about SLS printing in general here.

The next step in 3D printing.

Take the next step with the Sinterit Lisa SLS 3D printer. An SLS 3D printer has a lot of advantages compared to the widely accepted FDM and SLA/DLP technology.

How does an SLS 3D printer work?

Instead of filament (FDM) or resin (SLA/DLP), powder is used as the starting material. This powder is spread over the print surface in a very thin layer. The entire surface is heated to just below the melting point of the powder. A CO2 laser will then ensure that the powder comes to the right points just above the melting point. This is how your model is designed. Layer by layer.

Once the 3D printing is complete, you can remove the model from the printer after it has cooled down. After this you can make the model free of powder residues. These powder residues can be reused. In fact, it is better to use a mixture of new (fresh) and used powder.

No more support needed.

Support structures are a thing of the past. The entire building volume can be used. With a large part or countless small parts. Because the entire surface is given a layer of powder, it automatically acts as a support for overhanging and even floating parts. Since only the model is melted, the unused powder is not attached to the model.

Functional (moving) parts.

The Sinterit Lisa gives you the freedom to print moving parts in one go. This can be done, for example, by printing gears that react to each other. As in the image below. The chain works as we are used to from regular chains. But the gears can also be rotated. All this is printed in one go, without assembly.

Desktop SLS printer

The Sinterit Lisa is a desktop SLS printer. The build volume (max. 150 x 200 x 150mm) is remarkably large for a desktop 3D printer. Especially for an SLS 3D printer in this price range. The materials available for the Sinterit Lisa are, so far, flexa black (flexible material) and PA12 (very strong material).

Lisa 2 Pro

Around September 2018, Sinterit will launch the big sister of the Lisa, the Sinterit Lisa 2 Pro . Some differences between the Lisa and the Sinterit Lisa 2 are:

The Lisa 2 will be even easier to use.

A nitrogen chamber, making the choice of materials more extensive than with the Lisa 1.

A higher construction volume (250mm instead of 150mm).

A larger (7”) touchscreen.
