Nylon 12 is used in a wide range of applications. Nylon 12 is mainly used as a film packaging material in the food industry and in the form of sterilized films and pouches in pharmaceutical and medical applications. The material is also used in the form of sheet metal and as a sintered powder for metal coating. In the electronics industry, nylon 12 is used as an insulating material for cables and in the automotive industry for the manufacture of oil and petrol-resistant hoses. In cosmetic and personal care applications, nylon 12 is used as a solidifying and opacifying agent - for example in face and body powders and skin creams. Nylon 12 is also used in the textile industry, for example in the manufacture of sports and leisure articles and in numerous other applications.
